December 2008
We have added some additional information to the site, providing you with (summary) monthly website usage statistics. This information can be found by navigating to the "About AeX" page (available from the top menu bar), then clicking on the "Usage/Statistics" link from the upper portion of that page. The statistics are provided for two reasons: 1) to give feedback to participating insitutions on the amount of traffic that is being seen on the site; and 2), to provide validating information to potential new institutions that there is a considerable amount of visitor traffic and page views on the site, viewing course catalog and degree program information as Marines, family members and counselors look to further their education.

We are pleased to announce another new platform that further compliments the Academic Explorer (AeX) at www.mcaex.net and the Scholarship & Financial Aid Explorer (SFeX) at www.mcsfex.net. The new platform, Marine Corps Job Explorer (JeX), launched in cooperation with the Marine Corps Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP) and Family Member Employment Assistance Program (FMEAP), provides a searchable database of employment opportunities that is suited to transitioning Marines, as well as family members and others within the Marine Corps community. Members of the Marines Corps Community can use JeX to both profile their individual resumes, as well as find employment opportunities that leverage their skills and education, and supports their career goals. Likewise, businesses and organizations can use JeX to post employment opportunities that are suitable for members of the Marine Corps community. This new platform is available at www.mcjex.net

September 2008
We are pleased to announce a new application that joins together our two portals, the Academic Explorer (AeX) at www.mcaex.net and the Scholarship & Financial Aid Explorer (SFeX) at www.mcsfex.net with an integrated search engine. The AeX/SFeX Integrated Search application will allow users to search for both degree/certificate programs and scholarship opportunities, side-by-side, at the same time, with one set of search criteria. This feature will allow potential students and counselors to search for a degree or certificate program that matches the skills and interest of the student and simultaneously display any scholarship opportunities that might be available to help them complete that program offering, in addition to their TA and MGIB benefits.

The Integrated Search will allow users to filter the results to the current library of over 7,000 certificate and degree programs offered by almost 125 institutions (in AeX) and simultaneously apply the same search criteria to more than 125 available scholarship opportunities, providing the filtered search results in the same format provided in AeX. Click on the "Launch Integrated Search" button at the bottom of the home page.

August 2008
A companion portal to the Academic Explorer (AeX) at www.mcaex.net, the Scholarship and Financial Aid Explorer (SFeX) at www.mcsfex.net has been released for Live use. This portal went live with over 100 military-friendly scholarships. If you are in need of financial aid, visit the SFeX website at www.mcsfex.net.
