The MCAS Beaufort Lifelong Learning Center provides professional voluntary education services for all military personnel and their family members. Our goal is to assist all clients in a friendly, courteous, professional manner, with a positive attitude and a sincere willingness to help. The U.S. Marine Corps Voluntary Education Program provides active-duty service members the opportunity to reach their educational goals. Service members can enroll in post-secondary education programs that lead to associate’s, bachelor’s, and graduate degrees. They can complete their high school education or earn their equivalency diploma (GED), improve basic academic skills, and enroll in vocational and technical schools. Active duty can also potentially receive college credit for military experience based on the American Council on Education (ACE) evaluation of military training. Other programs for active duty include testing to earn recommended college credits and military classification testing, the United Services Military Apprenticeship Program (USMAP), and DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support) certification and distance learning programs. Lifelong Learning Centers are staffed by trained counselors and technicians. Staff members provide academic counseling for active duty and adult family members, authorized civilians (Civil Service and Contracted base employees), and retirees on all programs available to them.

Here are some Success Stories relating to our new platforms...

What Our Marines Say

AeX helped me find the program I was looking for with an easy search. I didn't have to wade through a bunch of useless information to get to what I was looking for. I highly recommend it to my fellow Marines.

Aex helped me find a degree completion program for my bachelor's in criminal justice without having to spend hours searching for an accredited program. I send my Marines to the site all the time.

What Our Counselors Say

AeX is a fantastic tool for counselors as well as students. Unlike many search engines used for college information there are no "pop-ups" and no personal information is required to look at the college degree programs. I've used AeX to find courses in everything from photography to auto mechanic. I love it!
Andrea Hodges

AeX has become the "go-to" site for counseling students with so many different needs. Before its inception our resources and options were limited to either outdated books or advertisement websites.
